Privacy Policy

Lexicode collects nothing that identifies you. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we never sell or share data.

Your picks (levels, specialisations, explanation style and daily goal), saved terms, collections, hidden terms, reading history, streak, reminders and appearance stay on your iPhone. When iCloud is on for Lexicode, they are also kept in your private iCloud database, which belongs to your Apple Account and which we cannot read.

Lexicode downloads new and corrected terms from our content server. Like every web server, it sees your IP address in order to answer; we do not keep it, and the download carries nothing about you.

When you report a problem with a term or suggest a new one, Lexicode sends what you chose (the reason, your note or the suggested term), the term and its revision, the library release, the app version, and a random number your iPhone made the first time you sent one. That number is not linked to you, to your Apple Account or to your device's hardware; it lets us limit and block a sender who floods us.

We use reports only to fix and grow the library, and keep them in our database with the library's history.

The content server and the reports service run on Vercel, and reports are stored in a database run by Neon. Both process requests for us under their own privacy policies. Vercel sees each request's IP address to deliver it and to stop abuse; Lexicode does not store it.

Premium is bought and managed in the App Store. Apple tells the app whether you have Premium; we never see your name, your Apple Account or your payment details.

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing about them leaves it.

Lexicode is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, children included.

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
